The Week in Review

Last Friday was a tough day. It was the one year anniversary of the death of my Dad. For those of you that have lost a loved one, especially a parent, you understand. The entire week was spent with thoughts of "this time last year... "

My Mom passed away in 1993. You never really "get over" it or have "closure" in a sense that everything resumes back to the way it was. You "adjust" to daily life without that person. My Dad, my sister and I were very close. Thank goodness, my sister and I are still really close and really been there this year for each other! It has been really hard without my Dad because of my kids. He was close to them and involved in their daily lives. I miss both him and my Mom dearly. Thanks to God, one day we will all be reunited!

James was at Camp Hargis last week (day camp) so on Friday Annamarye had a girls spa day. Here she is:

We had manicures and pedicures at the Venetian Nail Spa at the Summit. Annamarye had been there for a birthday party last spring and has been wanting to go back. She loved the massage chairs. I must say, it was really nice and relaxing! I have had lots of manicures over the years (none in the past several years), but I had only had one pedicure. That was before my wedding. I am very ticklish and really didn't enjoy it. But, I guess I am mellowing in my old age, because it was really great! I might have to treat Annamarye and myself every so often!

Every year the Morgan side of the family gets together the Saturday before the 4th weekend.

The get together is held in the Eva Community Center. It is Pot Luck and is really lots of fun. This year the crowd was very small, but we had a good time anyway. Here's the kids:

We have done some of this - this week:

The Fed Ex man delivered this last week:

He came back this week and delivered this:

The new phone is mine. Johnny got my old iPhone. The kids and I bought the iPad for Johnny for Father's day. So far, the kids and I have hogged it and I don't think Johnny has even had a chance to play with it! I told him this weekend I would give him some lessons on using the iPad and my old iPhone.

Here's the kids watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. My new phone and the iPad is amazingly clear!!

And last but not least, we have done hair this week:
