Back to School!
Yesterday we went to "Meet the Teacher" at both schools. We went to James' school first. I didn't get a picture of him with his teacher. One, I forgot, two I am sure he would have been embarrassed! I will get one though! James is going into the 4th grade so he is at a different school. It was a zoo there yesterday with all of the 4th and 5th graders! His teacher is really nice and was very organized!
I did get a picture of Annamarye and James with Mrs. Price. James had her last year and Annamarye has her this year.

I really can't believe school started today! Where did the summer go?
They were both very excited this morning! Annamarye had a few wardrobe changes before deciding. I would not have chosen this, but it's not about me. We had to curl our hair last night too! She said she feels like Susan with the boing boing curls (you Ramona fans will know what I'm talking about!).

Chair Pockets
I hate when I think of things and can't believe I didn't think about it sooner! My niece, Lanie, started her first year of teaching today! Yea!! I am so excited for her and proud of her! Now is not the best time to get a job teaching and she was snatched up in May for this job!
I have made her some things for her room (I'll post more later). I made her a set of chair pockets. I used blue jean fabric for her room so they would last longer. The kids wanted some so I let them pick out their fabric. Here is what they chose:
I found some directions for free on the Internet. It was soooo easy! We have had this little table since James was 1 year old. It is really too small for them, or should I say, they are too big for it. But they still use it. Anyway, I can't believe I didn't think to make them chair pockets sooner!!!

Garage Cleaning Day!
Today is garage cleaning day! This is the first Saturday since June 12 that we have been home on a Saturday. It was nice to get up and not have to rush around to be somewhere.
I have said for a very long time that we needed a garage cleaning day! So today is the day!
Here's a few more pictures from our trip to Williamsburg. The kids left with my in laws on that Friday and drove part of the way and spent the night and went the rest of the way on that Saturday. Johnny and I drove it all on that Saturday and met up with them in Williamsburg. We began our tour on Sunday. We all had a blast!
Here's the kids with Betty in front of a house that her Aunt and Uncle lived in years ago. It is actually part of Williamsburg. Betty's uncle was director of something, so he was able to live in Williamsburg.
